Union Street expands support for Abillity billing platform

30th Jan 2009

In June this year Oak Telecom sealed an agreement with the developer of the Abillity billing platform, Union Street Technologies, under which the manufacturer is to service customers direct.

Since then Union Street has been busy expanding the support team to cope with future demands of the base and has swooped on Saf Ghouri, previously aBillity Product Manager at Oak, who joined Union Street as overall Operations Manager.

Union Street CEO, Tony Cook, said: "Saf brings a wealth of product and management experience and I am confident that he will assemble an excellent team."

Ghouri wasted no time in team-building and has already added six new heads to the team. He said: "It will take a little time before the full benefit of this is felt by the customers as we are going through intensive training with our new recruits. Luckily we have the support and co-operation of Oak during this process. We now have more support resource than ever before. It's very important that our customers are reassured that aBillity is going from strength to strength."

In a statement Oak confirmed, 'We have gone to extreme lengths to protect the customers and ensure that they are well looked after both by Oak and Union Street going forward'.
